MEET MR. J.T.

This was the highlight of our evening. Brennen found him crossing the road out in front of our house. He came running in and drug me off the phone to come and see what he had discovered.
It's a turtle. Brennen has named him Mr. J.T. Don't ask me where or how he came up with that name. It was all his doings though. I'm being bombarded with "Can we go to the pet store and get a cage for him?, we need to go to the pet store and get food for him, etc. etc. etc." I nicely explained to him that we were leaving for Florida in 10 days and that we would not be keeping Mr. J.T. He seemed to take that OK but we'll see how the next few days go as the "end" draws near. My Dad called and said he'd be over for some Turtle soup when he got word of our newest family member. HA! I didn't tell Brennen that though. ;)

BELOW: I went out to add some chemicals to the pool tonight and this is little Mr. J.T. looking all googly eyed at us. He is housed on our deck under the stars - in a Rubbermaid container. Poor thing!

Until tomorrow, sleep well. It's 10:15pm and I'm signing off. Big news happening here on the home front that was made "official" as of today. Therefore, I've been bouncing off the walls and making tons of calls. At this point, I am a little beat from all of the excitement. The next 45 days or so might get a bit busy to say the least. Good thing we've got the beach to look forward to and to keep us grounded, relaxed, and rejuvenated leading up to it all. Stay tuned for the "big news" in the coming days. Change - it's a great thing! ;)

Hugs, Angie and Mr. J.T.

Turtles have an inate homing device. If you keep him in the box too long he will die knowing he is out of his element. Your son should take him close to where he found him and the turtle can make his way back to his original home. Just FYI.
