DATE NIGHT
UPDATE: Great date night. Loads of fun. Had a an absolute blast with the Brentster. The two of us wanted to give a shout out and a big ol' congrats to our home builder for taking home several awards at the home-a-rama gala Friday night. They won "Best master suite, best lower level, best outdoor grounds, best curb appeal, best interior design, and most importantly...he got the big one...BEST OF SHOW!" The best of show award is really the most important one of them all. Not only did he grab it but he got all of those others as well. We are so excited and so happy for you guys. His wife decorates all of his houses so it was neat to see them win best interior design as well. What an exciting night it was. They are truly a wonderful couple with an impeccable eye for design when it comes to building homes. Congratulations to them and their outstanding team and staff!!!
It's Friday night and I'm heading out on the town with that hunk of a husband of mine. Brent and I are having a date night together this evening while his Mom comes up to our house and watches our kiddo's - her grand babies. We have been invited by our builder to the Home-A-Rama preview Gala this evening. If you aren't familiar with Home-A-Rama (it might just be an Indiana thing-I'm unsure), it is where several home builders get together in a beautiful neighborhood and build the best of the best homes. The public is then allowed to tour those incredible homes and view the decor, style, design, architecture, etc. for about two weeks. Tonight's gala is by invitation only so we are eager to get a sneak peek at these homes before the rest of the community sees them. We are very eager to see the house that our builder is showcasing for the home-a-rama because we were told it was designed after our home. The builder said it is basically our home inside and out - with a few small tweaks or changes. We can't wait to check out the finished product. We know it will be nothing short of stunning. After the gala, we are headed to Flemings restaurant for a yummy dinner together. Flemings is our favorite restaurant in Naples when we are there so we were excited to learn that there is actually one up here by our new home. YAY! I'm just excited to know that in a few short hours I'll be stuffing my face with their chocolate lava cake for dessert and laughing with my best friend, biggest supporter, and #1 fan.
In the meantime, have a great Friday night where ever your plans might lead you. We are up bright and early tomorrow for an 8:15 kick off at the football fields. That means Brennen has to be there warming up at 7:30am. Oh what fun, what fun. Nothing like football season.Much love and hugs, Angie

Palin Power! Hey Angie, So happy to see other Conservative voters in the MidWest. I actually went to the McCain/Palin rally this morning in Blaine, MN and was just a handful of feet away from Sarah Palin. Too Cool! I'll have to check out Megan's blog too. Thanks for the link in your post. Deanna
Well you guys look lovely, just like you just flew in from Florida(Wink Wink) I won't be able to make the game this week, Got to work, and house sit/dog sit for a friend. You may send a dinner down here to work for me, don't forget that desert too! Have Fun Love Birds, xoxoxo

I hope you had a great night! We started our Saturday off with 2 football games followed by 2 baseball games. Getting home at 11:30 and just a bit sports out!!!! Have a great weekend!
Rachel, we do date nights as often as we possibly can. We've been married almost 15 years so those date nights are huge to us. We used to go out on a date night every Tuesday evening when he got home from the office. However, now with the move and the chaos of sports practices, etc., we go as often as we can-whenever we can. Luckily, Brent loves date nights even more than me. Therefore, he hounds me as soon as we have one date night about getting the next one scheduled and planned (babysitter lined up, where, what time, etc.) I laughed at him Friday night because as we were leaving the restaurant he said...I just love our date nights-we date so well, don't we?" HA! It was just so funny to hear it put that way. We "date" so well. He's too good. Heart him with every fiber of my being. :)

Congrats on your home builder winning such a prestigious award! Always makes you feel better when you know their standards for building are so high they can get an award for it!
We built a CP Morgan home and I just love it! I know it doesn't compare but I am proud of it and it's the best I can do right now, ya know? I'll keep dreaming bigger and one day they'll come true.

Yvette, Oh I love CP Morgan and their designs girl. They do a phenomenal job. You should be proud of your home sista! Really. Don't discount it at all. A home is a blessing - period! Especially when you can build it your way with our wants and desires. Just makes it all that much more exciting. So very happy for you. :)
